Ceramics have a special function of bringing people together in the home and I just love that. Most homes have a special dinner set that’s brought out for celebrations.

Mine certainly does.

Every time I sit at a table dressed with that special set, my heart is warm to be spending time with family in celebration or honour. Whether it be for displaying a beautiful bunch of flowers; to hold your utensils in style, daily rituals of food and drink, holding precious treasures, or just to bring some beauty to your shelves, ceramics make a home more homely and allow us to express our sense of style. The nature of handmade ceramics means that no two pieces will be exactly identical. While a set will all look alike, there will be slight differences in their final appearance. All of my pieces are made with clay from right here in Aotearoa. I care about the planet and hate waste, so most of my work is sold and made on a preorder basis.
